The Sunshine Coast Entry-Level Referee Course registration is open!
Here is great opportunity for soccer enthusiasts on the Sunshine Coast, B.C. The Sunshine Coast Youth Soccer Association (SCYSA) is offering to cover fees for new soccer refs. See details below.
Following the SCYSA requirements, your course fees may be fully paid. Additionally, if you are affiliated with SCWSL or the Men’s League, there have been discussions about providing financial assistance to help cover all or part of the course cost upon completion of the course.

Once people are registered for the course, someone from SCYSA will reach out to them about referee kits.
For any referee who passes the course SCYSA will refund the fee paid to BC Soccer if the following criteria are met during our Fall Soccer Season (Sept to March):
- Attend at least 3 SCYSA monthly referee meetings
- Complete at least 3 SCYSA youth referee assignments
SCYSA will continue to pay the BC Soccer fee each year a referee meets the above criteria.
In addition, if they meet the above criteria and have purchased a ref kit through SCYSA, we will reimburse the referee 50% of the ref kit each year they meet the above criteria until the kit has been paid for in full (two years).
